Pistol Pettycoats graduate in Mount Dora shooting course
Twelve women completed the Mount Dora Police Department Pistol Pettycoats self defense course led by Policeman Bob Roberts. All passed with at least 60 points. Alice Moss and Francis Everett earned Masters with 95 of 100. A new class is planned for April with possible night and men's sessions.

Mount Dora City Council Plans Cleanup and Demolition
The Mount Dora City Council voted to spend about $2,000 on town cleanup and beautification, including tearing down old buildings and clearing overgrown lots. The service station at the corner of 1th and Grand View will be demolished at $450 after the owner refused. The city will bill the owner and clear roughly 34 acres in East Town, with some land city owned and the rest private. Councilman C. O. Lott.

Rabies Clinic slated for March 20 and 27 in Mount Dora
The Annual Rabies Clinic will be held March 20 at City Hall from 8 am to noon and 1 to 3 pm with Dr. C H Hawthorne administering shots. A second clinic is set for March 27 at the Sorrento Post Office from noon to 3 pm.
