Tax Board to Sit Next Wednesday

Three city officials will serve as a Board of Equalization on Wednesday March 18 to hear taxpayers' opinions on the 1964 city tax roll. The sessions run 9 am to noon and 2 to 4 pm at City Hall. Mayor Jesse Willmott J P Turner city tax assessor John Cain comprise the board. The roll is open for inspection at City Hall.

State Lawn Bowl Tourney Re-Set For March 30-31

The Florida Championship Tournament in Mixed Trebles is re scheduled by the Mount Dora Lawn Bowling Club for March 30-31 after a rainout. Sponsored by the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce, the event will feature 28 Florida teams, four games per team on two days, with trophies for top four finishers and special prizes for top two game and overall performers.

Prizes Draw at Mount Dora Fair Booth

A total of 335 people registered at the Mount Dora Chambers of Commerce booth at the Lake County Fair and Flower Show to enter a prize drawing. Prizes are provided by Mount Dora Growers Cooperative, Citrus, Pink Cottage Candies, Citrus Culture, and local groups including the Kiwanis Club Rotary Club Women's Club and Business and Professional Women's Club.

Funeral Wednesday For Liles Infant

Funeral services are set for Richard Gene Liles six months old son of Mr and Mrs Charles R Liles of Mount Dora. The service will be at 2 p m Wednesday at Rehbaum Chapel with Mr Cletus Stutzman officiating. Interment follows in Pine Forest Cemetery. Survivors include sister Brenda Kay paternal grandparents William Winters Mount Dora and maternal grandparents James Gardiner Eustis.

Lions Club White Elephant Auction and Barbecue Set

Mount Dora Lions Club will host its seventh annual White Elephant Auction and Barbecue on Saturday in Gilbert Park. Auction starts 1 p.m. and barbecue at 4 p.m. Dinner tickets cost 1.50 for adults and 1 for children under 12. Proceeds fund eyesight conservation and welfare work. People may donate usable items by calling local numbers.

Gene Moss says the Mount Dora Yacht Club will host a Sunday cruise to Howey-in-the-Hills. Pink Ladies Raise 300 At Waterman Memorial Shop Center

The Pink Ladies Auxiliary of Waterman Memorial Hospital earned 300.02 Saturday from merchandise donated by Shopping Center stores. Funds support hospital needs.
