Kellys Celebrate 50th Anniversary Of Their Marriage
Mr and Mrs Thomas E Kelly of 758 Grandview St Mount Dora marked their golden anniversary with a renewed wedding vows mass at St Patrick s Catholic Church officiated by Father Felix Banes. Grandsons Padric Kelly and John Michael O Brien assisted. A reception in the church social room followed with a three tier cake and yellow rose centerpiece. Guests included relatives from Jacksonville Ridgefield Conn Philadelphia and Gainesville and out of town relatives attended a dinner at Grand View Hotel.

Extension Homemakers Plan Readings and Convention
The Lake County Council of Extension Homemakers met at the Agriculture Center in Tavares with President Martha Hughes presiding. Margaret Marston read the Constitution revisions and two readings are planned before a vote at the October meeting. Doris Taylor urged volunteer help for handicapped home assistance. Hotel reservations via Marian Valentine. volunteers needed in August for typing and packing tasks.

Beta Sigma Phi Honors Girl of the Year at Founders Day Banquet
The Rho Lambda Chapter awarded Mrs. John Bachelor the Girl of the Year trophy at the Founders Day Banquet. The Florida State Beta Sigma Phi Convention in Orlando reported 100 percent chapter attendance in late May. Members held a breakfast style show costume contest luncheon and forums and planned a June family picnic an July barbecue and an August Dawn Breakfast.
