The Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce announces a July campaign to clear Lake Dora of water hyacinths using a cutter mounted on a flatboat. Harold Goforth says funds come from Lake County after a legislative bill, with a surplus boat purchased in New Jersey. The project aims to protect fishing and will also extend to Lake Beauclair and the river, with approx two weeks of work and local labor plus volunteers.
