Distribution of Florida Orange Shipments 1936-37
Florida orange shipments totaled 42 264 cars in 1936 37 with reported destinations for 39 841. New York State received 11 536 cars, about 29 percent, largely from the New York City auction market. Pennsylvania took 5 329 cars, 67 percent to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh auction markets. Massachusetts 3 588 cars, 9 percent, mostly to the Boston market. Georgia led the southeastern group with 2 023 cars, North Carolina 1 558, and Ohio headed the north central group with 2 453 cars. Illinois 1 840, Detroit 39 percent of its 1 056 in the north central trio. West of the Mississippi shipments were small, reaching rare instances west of the Rockies.

First Baptist Mount Dora Names New Pastor Acree
The First Baptist Church of Mount Dora has called Rev. R. W. Acree from Plant City to lead the congregation. He will fill the pulpit on Sunday June 26 and comes with a noted singing voice after studies at Southwestern Baptist Seminary in Waco Texas. He will arrive soon with Mrs. Acree and their young son and reside in Mount Dora once suitable housing is secured.
