Harold Overhiser Burned While Replacing Oil in Switchboard

Harold Overhiser, in charge of city electrical distribution, suffered severe facial burns last week while renewing oil in a Tremain Street switchboard with his assistant Clayton Tremain. The flash likely came from a short, but Overhiser saved his eyes by wearing glasses. current will be turned off for future changes.

Kneeland Dies After Long Bank Career at 87

Frederick N. Kneeland longtime First National Bank vice president and author of regional books died at his Northampton home after a long illness. He began at the bank in 1869 and retired in 1930 on his 80th birthday. He authored Drives in Northampton and Vicinity Northland and White Mountain Glimpses. He lived winters in Mount Dora Florida and summers in Northampton with family remaining. Funeral Monday at 4 from Edwards Congregational Church with burial in Bridge Street cemetery.

The Stetson University Scholarship of 100 dollars for Lake County piano and voice will be awarded at Eustis City Auditorium on Thursday June 23 at 2 PM. Woman's Institute Meet at Tallahassee
