Shuffleboard area to get facelifting at Donnelly Park
The outside clubhouse walls stone work and retaining walls around the shuffleboard courts in Donnelly Park’s west area will be repaired and painted during the week of July 28. Mount Dora contractors approved by the Park Commission on July 14 will perform the work, with Fifth Avenue and Donnelly Street sidewalks closed during the project.

Mental Health Center reports progress for Mount Dora
Lake Sumter Community Mental Health Center presented a mid year report to Mount Dora City Council. Spokespersons Richard Bell Andrea Hamline and Charlene George described reduced costs expanded services and the shift to independent status from Waterman Memorial Hospital. About 1450 patients were served in six to seven months with 80 percent in Lake County and 13 to 15 percent from Mount Dora. The center's annual budget about 1 million dollars with 40 percent federal 40 to 45 percent state and the rest local funds and fees. Mount Dora city budget for the center in 1974/75 was 3348 dollars.
