Clark Certified as Sworn Officer in Mount Dora
Chief C T Clark earned contingent employment authorization from the Police Standards and Training Commission in Tallahassee, granting certification as a sworn officer with a required 40 hour refresher within one year. The July 22 letter was signed by Donald E Fish. Clark returns to duty in Mount Dora after more than three years out of police work.

Donnelly Home Listed on National Register in Mount Dora
The J. P. Donnelly house in downtown Mount Dora was enrolled in the National Register of Historic Places with a ceremony on the porch last Thursday. Florida Secretary of State Bruce Smathers presented a registration certificate to Grand Master William C. Hill of Masons in Florida as about 100 residents watched. The home, used by Mount Dora Lodge No. 238 F&AM since the 1930s, is the first lodge in the nation to gain listing and was praised as a premier example of Victorian architecture remaining in the state.
