A community Arbor Day observance featured a bugler salute by Troop No. 1 Mount Dora Boy Scouts, singing by schoolchildren, poems by Mrs. Thayer and Joyce Kilmer, and a tree presentation ceremony. Mrs. Coolidge donated and planted a Portuguese silver cypress, presented with praise by local officials and the Park Commission.

Jeannette Pike of Mount Dora is named Miss Mount Dora for the coronation event at the Central Florida Exposition in Orlando on February 18. Lake County Exhibits At Tampa Fair Booth

Lake County returns as an exhibitor at the South Florida Fair in Tampa opening Tuesday. The booth measures sixty by twelve feet in Brorein hall and showcases agricultural horticultural products along with home economics displays and special entries. County agent Hiatt, Morley Martin, and home demonstration agent Mrs. Mary S.
