Lake County topped Central Florida in Boy Scouts membership growth for 1941 according to the January issue of the Central Florida Scouter. Lake County rose 27 percent with Sea Scouts and Cubs, while Orange and Brevard Counties each gained 20 percent. Three new troops formed in Lake County and one new Cub Scout pack organized.

U S Aims to End Rubber Famine in 18 Months
The United States plans to end its rubber shortage within 18 months, sooner if shipping is restored.
