Lesta Magic and Wise Orchestra at Community Building

The Tourist Club staged the second entertainment of its series Tuesday at the Community Building. Clifford Lesta and his wife wowed a large audience with feats of magic while the Wise Orchestra provided music. Next week Scotty Murray returns as a top Southern Circuit Scotch entertainer. The committee also previews two strong acts remaining, with ticket price rising to 75 cents for these specials.

President Robert C. Thomas calls for the annual meeting at the Yacht Club on Wednesday evening January 21 after a 6 30 cafeteria supper. Navy names Mount Dora pastor as chaplain

M J Bouterse II, pastor of the Carlisle Baptist Church in Kentucky and former Mount Dora schools student, has been accepted as a U S Navy chaplain and ordered to report to the Great Lakes Naval Training Station in Chicago. He is a Stetson graduate with seminary training and a Th D degree from Southern Baptist Seminary Louisville.

The President issued proclamations from December 7 and 8 1941 restricting alien enemies from possessing radio and camera equipment.
