Chief Huett Joins Panel to Study County Judge Need
Police Chief J T Bud Huett is named to a committee of laymen to study whether Lake County should add another County Judge. Lake County will receive $19,000 from the state race track tax fund, announced by State Comptroller Ray E. Green. The amount marks a $5,000 rise from last year and shows over $11,000 additional for the first half of the current period compared with 1963. Wade Cowart 33 Dies in Mount Dora Rites Held
Wade H. Cowart, 33, of Mount Dora died Monday. He had lived in Mount Dora 25 years and previously lived in Mettor, Georgia. Survived by parents Dewey and his wife of Tavares, three brothers Eldridge and James of Mount Dora and Clyde of Leesburg, and three sisters Ruby Humphrey of Tavares Hazel Kerce of Gainesville and Ellen Randolph of Chattanooga. Services were held Wednesday at the Church of Christ. Rehbaum Funeral Home in charge.
