Lake County Property Appraiser Donald E. Stephens warns the deadline for filing homestead agriculture widow and disability exemptions for 1975 is March 1, one month earlier. Taxpayers should obtain a receipt as proof of filing. Earlier notice targets residents who had 1974 homestead in their own name and did not file for 1975.
Mount Dora American Legion Auxiliary Unit 35 held an Americanism program at the post home. Mrs. Della Noyes welcomed attendees and explained Americanism. W. Land spoke on the history of the American Flag as the high school band performed. A covered dish supper followed with Rainbow Girls assisting.
