Farm Bureau Offers Winn Dixie Scholarship Program
Lake County Farm Bureau invites eligible high school seniors to apply for the Winn Dixie Farm Bureau scholarship program. Two $1500 scholarships will be awarded to a male and a female winner chosen by a Federation board committee based on scholarship, activities, and an essay on why they want to attend college. Second and third place prizes of $100 and $50 will also be given.

Residents are urged to be careful with burning as windy March conditions return after four fires last week. A trash burn north of Mount Plymouth jumped the railroad into pasture land with cattle, but no houses were harmed. A civic meeting is announced for March 1 at 7 30 p.m. at the Sorrento Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
