Auto Accident On Sanford Road Fatal To Two Local Men
A fatal automobile crash on Sanford Road near Mount Dora left John M. Morris aged 52 dead at the scene and Alonzo Lanier critically injured along with his brother Buck Lanier. The three men, all Citrus Culture Corporation employees, were occupants when a blowout caused the car to overturn several times. Morris died from a broken neck. Buck Lanier suffered a fractured skull and severe head lacerations. Funeral services were held for Morris at the First Baptist Church with burial in Mount Dora. Alonzo Lanier’s services followed at the Church of God.
