Democratic Women Host District Meeting in Lake County
The Democratic Women's Club of Lake County holds a district meeting at the Tavares Civic Center this Saturday February 15 with Region I chair Jean Norris presiding at 1030 AM. Ada Hedges welcomes guests as mayors Pinkney of Eustis and Glenn of Tavares attend. Myra Sanders will speak in honor of Washingtons Birthday and Mrs Pinkney will perform patriotic songs. A lunch at 1230 PM precedes an afternoon talk by Jack Horner Sanford Chamber of Commerce manager. Decorations are organized by a group from Mount Dora Sorrento Eustis and Leesburg. Open to the public.

Diane works as a nurses aide in Mount Dora and Steven is an auditor with First National Bank and Trust Co of Eustis and the Bank of Mount Dora. A June 14 wedding is planned at St Patrick's Catholic Church Mount Dora with a reception at the Eustis Community Center.

Woman's Club hears talk on county Boys' Ranch
O B Brown told Mount Dora Woman's Club about the Lake County Boys' Ranch funded entirely by private donations. Begun in 1968 by private citizens for boys referred by courts, the Ranch provides medical and dental checks, an optional church, and a 264 acre site with two lakes one mile north of Altoona. The club presented a $35 donation.
