He joined the Medical Corps in 1941 after training at Camp Blaine Camp Lee Greenland service and Carlisle Barracks where he was commissioned as second lieutenant. Andrew Cole at Davis Monthan Field Tucson trains in medical supply after Camp Grant Illinois and a transfer to Arizona. He enjoys the West life. Carl Minkley at Boca Raton Quartermasters Corps spent Christmas at home with a short furlough. Corporal Robert Quixley will be home New Years on ten day furlough from Camp Blanding and is a chief interviewer in Headquarters Company now Captain Lemuel C Downs.
