Christmas Scene at Hibiscus Park Nearby Visitors
Kenneth and Lila Adwell arrived reporting travel through snow and rain on the drive to New York and Pennsylvania. Blanche Meidlein flew in as recent park visitors and Judge Nelson’s guests Mr. and Mrs. Dale Atkinson stopped by. Mary Burgdorf plans to leave for Evansville Indiana before Christmas then return after New Year’s. Henry and Margaret Duca drove to Sanford to watch Virginia’s train, then visited Casselberry and DeLand. The park glows with Christmas lights and locals host family visitors, church events, and Hall gatherings including a Thursday biweekly pancake dinner with music. Claude Fowler sent Arabic Christmas carols from Saudi Arabia. Mrs. E Ellis fractured her left arm and was treated at Waterman Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Lula Shanower, resident 10 years, will move to Kissimmee around year’s start, with Mrs. Lickfelt hosting a breakfast for nurses in the Park and departing Shanower.
