Lakeside Inn opens season at Lake Dora resort
Lakeside Inn begins its 1971 72 season with 52 employees and 105 rooms and suites ready for guests. Five historic buildings dating 1907 to 1930 form the winter resort, set on five acres. The Terrace was dedicated in 1930 by Calvin Coolidge, who spent a month there. The original Lakeview House began circa 1884, and grounds include semi tropical gardens a bird sanctuary and an Olympic size heated pool for recreation.
