Bill Reedy, chairman of the Lake County Safety Council, told Leesburg Kiwanis Club that safety is everyone's business across life. He urged awareness of high speed four lane highways and entering rural roads, stressing the four E's education engineering enforcement and enthusiasm. Christmas holidays begin and school resumes set

Lake County Blood Bank Adjusts Hours in Eustis
The Lake County Blood Bank at Waterman M Hospital in Eustis will close all day Monday and Friday while extending hours on other days. It will be open Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Emergency service remains available 24 hours.
