Holiday Safety Rules Spelled Out By Council
Dr. S. Robert Klar of the Lake County Safety Council urges strict holiday safety: avoid dry trees, keep water or wet sand at the base, place trees away from exits and curtains, discard frayed cords, follow artificial tree instructions, dispose of wrappings, don’t burn candles near curtains, choose safe toys, supervise electrical toys, know the fire department number, and ensure everyone exits before calling for help.
