Mrs. Mabel Parker of Boston Massachusetts died Tuesday night in Eustis after a brief illness. A 71 year old winter visitor, she spent seasons in Mount Dora and Eustis and actively supported social and women’s groups. Remains shipped to Boston for funeral services with Rehbaum Zeller Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Charles Henry Roberts 86 died Saturday night December 2 at Lake County Medical Center in Eustis after a long illness. He came to Florida thirty years ago with his wife Nellie and son and lived in Lake County, mainly Eustis and Mount Dora. Survived by his widow Nellie Roberts of Mount Dora and one son Charles M. Roberts of Jacksonville. Funeral Monday at 10 a.m. at Rehbaum Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth G. Rogers. burial in Forest Cemetery Mount Dora.

Word arrived of the death of Mrs Henrietta Dana Grien in Portland Maine. Former Baldwin School Bryn Mawr educator born in Portland. She was daughter of Israel Thorndike Dana and lived with her brother Francis Dana after a breakdown. She spent seasons in Mount Dora and Tangerine and with Major and Mrs Marsh at Lake Beauclaire. She leaves two brothers and four nieces.
Florida agents report conditions around unlicensed stills at the State Beverage Department office. The findings suggest tightening controls could erase the moonshine trade by removing illicit production and distribution points.
