The group enjoyed a venison supper this week from a fine 8 point 200 lb buck shot last Wednesday at Buckhead Ranch on the Wekiwa river. Two other members each took a deer this week, all bucks and in fine condition. Drake reports the year’s deer fatter than ever and hunting along the Wekiwa has been good since the season opened.

Ossie Ginther HA l transferred from the Bronx training station to Farragut Idaho Naval Hospital. Captain Robert N. White returned home from Camp Blan after Pacific service and Manila posting. Staff Sgt. Roy Christopher is home honorably discharged after Pacific theater duty. Pfc. Lester Jones of Lake Jem, son of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Jones, received an Army discharge. he served with the 309th Combat Engineers 84th Division and survived the Ruhr crossing. Sgt. George C. Jerue received Navy discharge November 10 at San Diego after 3 years 2 months in the Marines Reserves. he sustained injuries at Okinawa and is home with his proud parents.
