Mount Dora Council to Hear Five Ordinances Next Tuesday
Mount Dora city council will consider five ordinances at its upcoming meeting. An emergency ordinance proposed by Mayor Tom Champion would set parking rules for a four block downtown area with fines for violations. Drug raid nets 4 area persons
Three pounds of marijuana were seized at a Sorrento residence after a narcotics investigation by the Mount Dora Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff's Office. John Larry Wade, 30, was arrested at the scene on charges of sale of a controlled substance possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and held on $4,000 bond. Danny Ray Smith, 20, was arrested later in Mount Dora on two counts of sale of a controlled substance and jailed on $4,000 bond. Two juveniles were also arrested in Mount Dora on sale of a controlled substance and placed in the Division of Youth Services detention center in Tavares.
