Silver Glen Lees Fallin Leads Family Run Spring Resort
Silver Glen Lees Fallin and Harry Henderson manage a family venture near Eustis holding 15 cottages on a hillside overlooking springs and a large lake connected to the St Johns and Atlantic. The cottages are rough but usable with three bedrooms and knotty pine walls. Visitors swim in clear 72 degree water with a safe shallow bottom and a deep channel for adults. Big boats dock nearby from Daytona Beach Sanford or De Land. Upstream a shaded glen leads to the original springs where Hollywood shot Jody drinking the water, though quicksand and rock bottoms pose risks. Florida is noted for tree species.
