The Community Club wrapped up a twelve-program season on March 25 under chair W. Swartz. Members voted to continue gatherings next year with plans to revive a Tourist Club style format, tickets set at $2.00, no collections. Rev A A Stanley endorsed the plan and praised sponsors. Cotterill Sisters delivered a memorable show. attendance totaled 245 with a $53.14 collection.

A Win ter Garden delegation reported a substantial permanent fence with iron posts and strong wire will be built at the Lake Apopka outlet to stop hyacinths from entering the Apopka canal. This enables rapid eradication along the canal and local waters. Financing is being sought at the Chamber of Commerce, and registration books open Friday and Saturday for those wishing to contribute to hyacinth eradication.

Breck Wins Final To Claim Lawn Bowing Crown At Mount Dora
