Domestic incident leads to arrests in Mount Carmel case

In Mount Carmel Valerie C Schrader 35 was arrested after a domestic dispute at a Plum Street residence and a juvenile at the scene was charged with domestic battery. Schrader is jailed awaiting bond. Also in Wabash County Circuit Court Nathan G Jackson 34 was sentenced to 3 years 6 months for criminal trespass to residence after entering Mitchell Woods home on Nov 4 2015 with others present and was given parole after release.

Shimkus Blocks Obama Water Rules With Bipartisan Support

Rep John Shimkus Illinois voted to curb two Obama era water rules. The House passed the STREAM Act to require a NAS study before new mining regs. It also approved S J Res 22 to disapprove the WOTUS rule expanding EPA jurisdiction to small streams and isolated waters.
