Gravel put down on Highway 9
Edwards County officials and CountryMark cooperated to lay two inches of crushed stone on about three quarters of a mile of Highway 9 after oil trucks used the road worsened it. Jeff Madden praised the joint effort saying the improvements benefit taxpayers and all parties. CountryMark CEO Charlie Smith said the company would assess responsibility and may contribute materials or funds if their trucks caused damage. Weather aided the work and the change came as snow and ice made roads hazardous.
