First Death In Home In Seventy Five Years
John Kelley aged 83 years and 6 months died in Yoakum Texas in the house he had lived in for 75 years. He was the first death in that house in all that time and he and his eight children were all born and married there. Interment occurred Sunday at the Catholic Cemetery.

Frank Culak of several miles northeast of town cultivated 1.5 acres in garlic in spring, earning $450 cash and 590 pounds of seed.
