Komensky P T A Holds First Meeting Elects Year’s Officers
On October 5 the Komensky P T A held its first regular meeting of the year and elected officers for the year. A letter from the Bratrich family expressed thanks for a floral offering after a death. The group offered a donation to Mr and Mrs Vladik Pesek whose home burned, but they returned it for general PTA use. Officers: President F K Hrnck, vice president Miss Marie Pustka, secretary Mrs Vladik Pesek, treasurer Frank Bohuslav, reporter Miss Janice Harris, lightman Vladik Pesek. Music was provided by the Vogt sisters.

Lavaca County reports a marriage license boom in September per County Clerk J. F. Bozka. A total of 45 licenses were issued, up from 16 last month and 33 in September 1936.
