New Trial Denied in Fishbeck Slaying Case
Emma P. Fishbeck had a new trial request denied after District Judge Howard P. Green overruled. Jacob John Fishbeck was killed at their Nursery area home on June 9, 1945. Defense attorney J W Ragsdale filed an appeal to the Court of Criminal Appeals and she posted a 5000 dollar appeal bond. The trial began October 4 in local court and a guilty verdict was reached in about one hour and twenty minutes.
