Texans Win National Award for Safe Driving Education
Governor Allan Shivers received a national award for Texas high school driver education for the second year. The program taught safe driving to 40,000 students in 1949 50, offered in 432 of 1450 high schools, with 1 571 teachers qualified. Attendees included C E Sanderson Homer Garrison and Charles E Rugel. Birthday Party Honors Arndt Daughters With Halloween Fun
Mr and Mrs Eddie A Arndt hosted a Saturday October 28 birthday and Halloween party for daughters Lois 9 and Doris 7. Twenty six children attended. Funeral services were held October 27 at J Levy Funeral Home and St Marys Cathedral for Charles L Cavalier born November 27 1915 in Leroy North Dakota.
