HENRY HOME IN AUSTIN AUSTIN MUSEUM SHRINE
The William Sydney Porter house in Austin has become a state shrine as a museum, with a capable curator and visitors from around the world. The Texas land office payrolls from the 1880s are kept on file for display by Land Commissioner William H. McDonald. In 1897 four Texas graduates of the state university earned law degrees and later held top offices: Morris Sheppard, Tom Connally, Pat M. Neil, and Walter A. Keeling, serving as senator, senator, governor, and attorney general respectively.
