Residents of Dickson Culak and Cedar Springs districts need not transfer children to Moulton due to state contract arrangements. All other district children must transfer this month to attend Moulton Public School. Transfers available at the County Superintendent’s office or with Supt J W Pyland.
Glen Ray Owensby celebrated his sixth birthday on July 9 at Sulphur Park with friends. Refreshments included kolaches cake pies and sandwiches as attendees enjoyed the evening and wished him many more returns.
An adult class of nine will be confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton on Sunday July 18 at 10 A M. Rev K Win decker will administer the confirmation rites.
Mr and Mrs Hugo Boehm and family from San Antonio Mr and Mrs Victor Boehm also present along with Mr and Mrs Harry Boehm of McQueeney and Mr and Mrs Joe Balaska and daughters of Houston helped celebrate Mrs Louis P Boehm's birthday anniversary here Sunday.

A J Melnar Col R E Fojt and Lad Hruska toured the Elgin Standard Brick Company at Elgin Texas on Friday. They viewed the tile and brick production process and found the plant tour enjoyable and instructive.
An eight pound five ounce baby girl was born to Mr and Mrs Joe Faykus at Dr Hugo J Strieder Hospital in Moulton on Monday morning July 12. Mrs Faykus is the former Agnes Stryk, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Stryk of Flatonia. Oscar Cluiss of Moulton and Milton Cluiss of Freeport vacationed in Dallas and San Antonio. Milton returned to Freeport Sunday. Mr and Mrs Dan Hruska of Bellville visited in the home of Mr and Mrs Lad Hruska in Moulton Sunday. Dan Hruska is an attorney at Bellville and a candidate for attorneyship of the Slovanee Mutual Protective Association. He contacted several parties to further his candidacy.
Pfc. Edwin Novak, son of Mrs. Agnes Novak of Moulton Texas, will sail soon for the United States from Guam where he serves with HQ 20th Air Force Far East Air Forces. Novak enlisted in 1942 at Fort Sam Houston and re enlisted in 1945. He trained as a switchman in the Philippines and served in Japan before moving to Guam in 1948. His sister Awena Novak of Houston awaits a visit before reassignment.
