Moulton Receives Historic Texas Army Marker
A gray granite Texas Army marker was erected on February 18 on the American Legion property south of Moulton along Highway 95. Inscribed for Camp of the Texas Army on March 15, 1886 under General Sam Houston, the 2,300 pound monument was produced by Rodriguez Granite Works and installed by C. Deichman of San Antonio with local support from Lavaca and county officials.

Boy Breaks Arm In Fall From Tree

Witting Boy Shot In Accidental Gun Discharge

Moulton Club Plans Tamale Sale at Later Date
Moulton Home Demonstration Club met at Mrs. Joe Gold’s home on February 10 with 11 members one new member and two visitors. They planned a hot tamale sale and country store later. Mrs. Gold described remodeled pantry cost 4.90 and 8 by 6 feet. She noted a 21 quart pressure cooker and various foods stored. Funeral services held for Frank J. Darilek at St Joseph’s Church
Funeral services for Frank J. Darilek were conducted at St Joseph’s Catholic Church by Rev. Joseph Kopp. Burial was in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Frances Lichnovsky Buried in Floresville Funeral
Mrs Frances Lichnovsky 35 nee Miculka of Floresville died last week. Burial was in Floresville with Rev Heacock officiating at home and grave. Many attended including relatives from San Antonio East Bernard Robstown Houston and Moulton. She leaves husband Valentine Lichnovsky three daughters two brothers and four sisters. The community extends sympathy to survivors.

Highway crews plant shrubs along Highway 95
