Moulton Lutheran Sunday School teachers hosted a surprise party for former teacher Mrs. Gus Fisbeck at her residence last Thursday night. Guests included Rev A H Falkenberg and many couples and family members, with conversation, games, and a noon service.

Mrs Rosalie Gast widow of Joe Gast and former Moulton resident died Sunday at her daughter Mrs Frank Kuntschick in Harwood. She lay in state with funeral held at St Joseph Church and burial in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. She was 73 years old, born in Schwerin Germany and survived by five children, 36 grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
The Hagle reports the death of the year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Cluiss after a truck struck her in Sinton on Wednesday morning. Burial was held Thursday afternoon at 2 o clock. Various relatives and friends are noted in attendance and condolences extended.

Elijah Harris 9 died after brother Harry Harris 7 handled a single barrel shotgun at home near Dickson. Inquest found accidental discharge. firearm returned to wall after the incident. Judge A J Darilek reported the matter to Halettesville authorities.
The state auditor reports total public education expenditure in Texas at 85 million dollars. Of this 72.76 million funded public free schools and 12.84 million paid institutions of higher education.
The Boursville P T A met for a short business session Friday night due to widespread illness in the community. The planned program was postponed and a full program is planned for the next meeting on Thursday night March 11 with an invitation to all.
Local business firms in Moulton announce daily closing times of 6 PM on weekdays starting March 1 with 6:30 PM on Fridays during Lent. The schedule ends with the arrival of new cotton, and all listed holidays including July 4 Armistice Thanksgiving Christmas and New Year are observed full days. Sunday holidays shift to the following day.

Emil Culak aged 27 was shot three times with a 22 caliber rifle about 7 30 Tuesday night near here. Andrew Taraba surrendered after summoning aid and an officer. Culak was taken to Shiner hospital with favorable recovery prospects. Taraba posted 1000 bond for grand jury appearance. Family trouble is cited as motive.

Hallettsville Texas February 12 Mrs George Stratmann 61 died suddenly Thursday and was buried Friday She is survived by her widower one daughter Mrs Wilson Machs
