Public School News Highlights Spring Baseball Hopes

The high school begins indoor baseball and soon will switch to real balls as Bobkats expect a strong season. Seniors plan invitations and a Valentine party on February 14 at the Knape home with games, dancing, and a prize. Erna Nieman misses school after dental injuries from a basketball game.

Riske and Stoeltje Wed in Home Ceremony

Bennie Riske and Thelma Stoeltje were united in marriage at the bride's home on a Wednesday afternoon, February 12, with Rev. A H Falkenberg of Zion's Lutheran church officiating. Bridesmaids were Jessie Stoeltje and Hulda Koenning. groomsmen were Arthur Mueller and Elo Riske. The groom is son of Hermann and Mrs Riske of Witting, and the bride is daughter of Mrs Henry Stoeltje of Witting.

L C Schoenig longtime manager and part owner of the A F Kotzebue Drug Company sells his interest to Roy Kotzebue. Schoenig plans to open a drug store in LaGrange. Kotzebue, a registered pharmacist, has been with the business for years. The Eagle extends best wishes for success.

Mrs. Henry Etlinger returned to her Yoakum home on Wednesday. Mrs. J. D. Gray of Yoakum visited Mr. and Mrs. Rud Jaeggli last Wednesday. Miss Lenora Henrichs of Aransas Pass died in a Corpus Christi hospital after a several days illness. She was 20 years old, born January 25, 1910 in Moulton. Survived by her mother Mrs G Henrichs of Aransas Pass and sister Mrs Laura Worthington of Robstown. Funeral and burial at Rosehill Cemetery, Corpus Christi, with relatives from Moulton attending.

Aged Lady Breaks Hip Crossing Street

Mrs Elizabeth Etlinger aged 81 fell and fractured her hip while attempting to cross the street in front of her home on Wednesday afternoon of last week. She is being treated locally.

A 7 o'clock dinner at Mrs Sam Jaeggli's home featured peas in potato nests stuffed celery olives flowered tomatoes fish flake balls fruit salad hot rolls pineapple jello and cake. A large crowd attended the Hermann Park Verein masquerade with 295 tickets sold.
