Immunization Program Completed At Moulton High School

The immunization drive finished at Moulton High School on Wednesday morning under Dr. Hugo J. Strieder. A total of 359 shots were given to students from Evergreen Oak Grove Boursville Kamensky Novohrad St. Joseph's Moulton Public and the Negro School. Three shots had been given during the term to complete the program.

Moulton High Bobkatz clinched the West Zone title in District 66-B by beating Waelder Wildcats 47 to 13. Fehrenkamp and Holub led with 12 points each, while Waelder’s Miksch topped scoring with 7. The game featured a tight first half with Moulton leading 13 to 6 at the break.

Vyoral Family Welcomes Baby Boy Daniel

Mr and Mrs Rudy Vyoral celebrate the birth of a 614 pound baby boy named Daniel at Dr Strieder Hospital on February 14 at 11 20 PM. This is the Vyoral couple’s first child and the grandparents are Mr and Mrs Tom Vyoral. The mother is former Miss Marvy Chiliek of Yoakum.

St Josephs 4 H Club Holds February Meeting

The St Josephs School 4 H Club girls held their regular monthly meeting Friday February 6. The president opened the session and minutes were approved. Miss Martin explained the dress review contest and members displayed their work to Miss Martin and sponsor Sister Rita. The next meeting is scheduled for the first Friday in March.

Pvt. Edward L. Biehunke Jr Said At Rest Here Friday

Funeral services for Pvt. Edward L. Biehunke Jr who was killed in action in France on July 21 1944 were held at the Oehl Funeral Home in Moulton Friday February 13 at 2 00 PM Rev K Windecker Lutheran Minister officiating. Interment was in the Moulton Public Cemetery with military honors conducted by Geier Merrem Post No 392 American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No 6971. The body arrived at Flatonia at 511 PM escorted by Sgt Frank P Gallagher. A large crowd attended the rites with active pallbearers and honorary pallbearers named. The color bearers guards and firing squad participated.

Mrs. H B Moeller 79 died at her Moulton home Wednesday morning last week. Services were Friday February 12 at 9:00 A M in St Joseph Church with Rev Joseph Kopp officiating. She lived in the community over 50 years and is survived by husband H B Moeller of Moulton, six children, 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, three sisters.

Merwin Krejci says he has learned to like the Navy during his service. He has about five weeks of boot training before being sent to Jacksonville Florida for 16 weeks at Aviation Fundamental School. He is the son of Mrs. Stella Krejci of Moulton.

Firemen Feted With Oyster Supper In Moulton

The Moulton Fire Department honored active members with an oyster supper at the fire station on Thursday night. Joe Kubenka Jr. prepared the oysters, Victor O Fehrenkamp brewed coffee, and several members donated oysters and other favors. About 40 men attended.
