May Extend Statehood To Hawaii and Alaska

Mrs. Rosetta Gibson Dies in Moulton Funeral Rites Held

Mrs. Rosetta Gibson died at her home near Moulton on March 2 at age 70. Funeral services were held March 4 at the Dehl Funeral Home with Rev. C. E. Bottorff officiating. Interment followed in Moulton City Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, four daughters, one stepdaughter, a sister, twelve grandchildren, eight step grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A Red Cross drive in Lavaca County aims to raise 1800 dollars by March 15 with local chairmen assigned across towns and school districts.

Fire Destroys Home of Frank Castro on Highway 95

The Moulton Fire Department answered a 9 am call to the home of Frank Castro and Emily Monday when a stove exploded spreading flames. The house on Highway 95 was a total loss with furnishings clothing and $50 cash inside. Castro estimates losses at $3500. the couple had occupied the new home for 20 days and had no insurance.
