Death Notice for Anton V R Heinrich

On Friday February 8 at 11 30 PM the unseen land messenger visited the home of Mr and Mrs Joseph F Heinrich near Oak Grove claiming their son Anton V R Heinrich aged 15 years 7 months 29 days. He had been ill one week and despite all care his life ended. His body rests in Moulton Catholic Cemetery with Rev Father Neubert officiating. He is survived by his parents and several sisters and brothers. The Eagle extends sympathy to the bereaved.

Moulton Merchants Adhere to Food Regulations

The Eagle notes strict compliance by merchants bakers and housewives with government food rules. A forthcoming advertisement lists substitutes for wheat flour. Joe Kubena and Miss Bettie Zapalac were married at Moulton Catholic church on Monday February 11 with Rev Father Neubert presiding. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Zapalac of Novohrad, and the groom, son of County Commissioner John Kubena and his wife, will reside with the groom's parents. The Eagle wishes them happiness.

Lavaca County Boys Among Tuscania Sinking Victims

Lavaca county youths Thom EK and Hudgeons of Hallettsville and Pablo Carrelles of Yoakum were aboard the ill fated transport Tuscania torpedoed and sunk off the Irish coast last week. Hudgeons was missing. Carrelles survived wounded. Over 100 American soldiers were killed.
