Death of Dr J D Gray noted South Texas physician

Dr James D Gray a leading South Texas surgeon died at Yoakum hospital on Friday night December 6 in his sixtieth year. Funeral from Schwab home followed by Oak Grove Cemetery interment with Rev Rowland and Rev McDonald officiating and local Masonic and Alcafar Temple members in attendance. Survived by widow and son Willis at Baylor, a daughter deceased, two brothers Dr A J Gray and Judge Charles Gray, two sisters in German, with many Moulton friends among attendees.

Moulton High School schedules December program

The grade program planned for December 5 at the high school auditorium was postponed to December 12. On December 4 report cards were issued and discussed. Health and physical education are now taught with supervised play. The high school is preparing PTA program items including songs, drills, and one act plays by classes with music by the Juvenile Orchestra and a local music class.

Child of Byrds Dies Near Wotipka

The six month old son of Mr and Mrs Clarence Byrd died Saturday and was buried Sunday at Old Moulton Cemetery at 3 oclock with Rev W F Crouch conducting the funeral services.

Mrs Jennie Neeley born Coon died Thursday November 20 at Roby Texas at about 68. She formerly resided at Moulton. Survived by husband three stepsisters Mrs Lou Hamil Mrs Fannie Spence Mrs Emmie McLendon and one step-brother Walker Duff of Flatonia.

Sells All His Cotton From Henkhaus Farm

Otto Riske of the Henkhaus community was in Moulton last Wednesday marketing his last bale of cotton. Riske reports a good crop with ten bales from about twenty acres and sold the cotton as fast as gathered.

Death of Hallettsville Infant Joseph F Bozka

One and a half year old Joseph F Bozka, son of Mr. and Mrs. J F Bozka, Hallettsville, died Saturday evening from pneumonia. Funeral services were at the family home Monday afternoon, then body interred in Shiner Catholic cemetery. Revs Mathis and L P Netardus officiated.

Miss Annie Jalufka celebrated her birthday anniversary with a Bunco gathering at Mr. and Mrs. Emil Jalufka’s home on December 3. Four tables of Bunco were played. Ruth Johnson won high score and first prize while Stella Etlinger had second high score and second prize. George Butschek received the booby. Refreshments included cake pie sandwiches and cocoa.

Mrs Emilie Pohler Dies in Shiner at 78

Mrs Emilie Pohler wife of Henry Pohler of Moulton died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter Mrs Arthur Fishnar in Shiner where she had stayed several weeks. Burial was in Moulton Catholic Cemetery with Rev Joseph Kopp officiating. She is survived by six children: Mrs Arthur Fishnar Shiner Mrs Adolph Darilek Floresville Mrs Gus Aschenbeck Houston Richard Pohler Moulton Hugo Pohler Shiner and Henry Pohler Jr Houston. A life sketch will be printed next week.

Aged Woman Dead At Gonzales

Mrs. Thomas Dawe aged 80 died at Gonzales on Wednesday of last week and was buried there Friday morning. Surviving are eight children and numerous grandchildren.
