The Guadalupe Firemen Association holds its semiannual convention in Moulton on Sunday May 2 with sessions at the New Theater and Herman Park Hall. Attendees will hear speakers including Victor Bouldin in place of Attorney General William Mc Craw, plus entertainment by local talents, an American Legion Band, and delegations from 36 towns.

Inocenc Motal a respected farmer died at his home Friday April 23 at 9 PM after a month illness. Funeral from the family residence Sunday at 9 AM with services at Praha Catholic Church Rev John Anders. Burial in Praha Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers listed. Survived by widow four children two stepchildren two brothers. The Eagle extends sympathy to the bereaved.

Bridge Club celebrates four tables with festive decor
Mrs. Erwin Oehl hosted four tables of bridge last week at a beautifully decorated home with cut roses. Refreshments included a salad course, coffee, and strawberries in pastry shells. Mrs. Fred Fehrenkamp won high score, Mrs. Wm. Meyer received the gift prize, and Mrs. Anton Kolar captured the galloping prize.

Anton J. Jilek Buried Here After Illness
Anton Jilek died at a Sanitorium Sunday after a several week illness. The body arrived Monday and the funeral was held Tuesday morning from his mother Mrs Frank Jilek Sr home. Rev Joseph Kopp officiated at St Joseph s Church with burial in Moulton Catholic Cemetery. Survivors include his widow Maggie Johnson and eight siblings plus his son Rud Jaek in Levelland Texas and five children Conrad Albert Margaret LaVern Mary Anne. He was born May 24 1889 in Moulton aged 47 years 11 months and 1 day. He lived in Moulton Fredericksburg and Flatonia.

Emil Pundt Dies After Illness in Moulton
Emil Pundt a retired Moulton businessman died Sunday night after an illness of eight months. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Zion's Lutheran Church in German and English, with burial in Moulton Public Cemetery. He was born March 12, 1873, in Ross Prairie, married Anna Koenig in 1899, and moved to Moulton in 1904. He helped run Moulton Oil & Gin, was an honorary Moulton Fire Department member, and survived by his widow, three children, four grandchildren, three brothers, and four sisters.
