Plane crash at ice cream parlor kills 22 in Sacramento
A private F86 Sabrejet converted for civilian use crashed into Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor during takeoff from Executive Airport. Twenty two people died including an entire family of four and many children. at least 26 were injured. The pilot survived and expressed sorrow. Authorities said most victims were in a front seating area where a birthday party had just been served.
