EPA charges FPB with discharging wastewater into Morris sewer

Bridge Collapses on Hanson Road injures no one
A cement bridge about .2 miles east of Woods Road on Hanson Road gave way at noon Wednesday as Dan Meade of Gardner drove a tractor pulling a combine over it. The left wheels dropped over the side but the tractor stayed on top. Meade was uninjured. Officials reported the south side collapsed into the creek.

Five out-of-state men held after I-80 Mobil robbery
LaSalle County deputies captured five suspects from Michigan and Colorado about 30 minutes after the armed robbery of a Mobil Oil station at I-80 and Marseilles Road. The five, men ages 19 to 26, reportedly fled in a stolen 1973 Dodge van after taking 148 dollars with a knife. They were stopped west of I-80 near US 51 where deputies found a gun in the vehicle.
