Rezoning for Century Wholesale Not To Be Discussed

Alderman Ray Christensen told Morris Daily Herald no vote or discussion is planned on Century Wholesale rezoning. Councilmen have not met with City Attorney James Peacock about the Hornsby family agreement. Christensen opposes bringing the matter to a vote and earlier moved to table it at the Sept 24 meeting. Council meets at 7 30 p.m. at the Public Works Building.

Food firms ordered to roll back prices refunds total 27000

The IRS said three Missouri Illinois food operations will refund about 27000 to customers for prices above ceiling levels. McHenry Meat Co in St Louis refunds about 20000 for beef price overcharges. Chanute AFB commissary refunds 5600. Wetterau Inc in St Louis refunds 2090 to retailers for produce overpricing.
