Morris hosted the 25th Grundy County Corn Festival parade with more than 2 000 participants across 175 units. Traffic delays forced a 30 minute postponement, but the event concluded before 5 p.m. amid sunny skies and crowds exceeding last year’s 30 000. Body found near Joliet ends Oswego girl's missing case
The body of 15 year old Roberta Jean Anderson, missing since Thursday, was found near abandoned buildings in Joliet with multiple stab wounds. A second body, a woman in her 20s with a fractured skull, was found in a field near a cemetery in Channahan, Will County.
