Two Newark Girls Injured In Dart Into Ditch Crash
Two Newark teenagers were injured early Sunday when a 1974 Ford Pinto driven by Denise Johnson failed to stop at a stop sign and veered into a ditch at Illinois 47 and Newark Road. Johnson and passenger Carolyn Scalf were treated at Morris Hospital and released. Police said Johnson, 16, and Scalf, 17, were from Newark Route 1. Johnson was ticketed for failure to stop.
