Once Busy Coal Tipple in Morris Is Razed
The Morroco Coal Company's tipple on the east side of Division Street in Morris was torn down after years of inactivity and hazard concerns. The yard now houses McElvain Construction and Johnson Precast, with no new plans. Coal came from nearby pits and mines and was sorted by size before sale.
