MCHS Faculty Upholds Masters Requirement Policy
Morris Community High School board affirmed a six year limit for master’s degree completion and will not rehire teachers failing the requirement by opening day. The move affects Larry Kane and Judy Heifner who must take a leave or be unemployable next fall. A $30 per credit for master’s work was approved, retroactive faculty not funded. Board also joined LaSalle Peru special education cooperative for one year. Grundy County would be a satellite with about $20,000 admin cost.
