Irish pride marks Morris couple's long American journey
John O'Hagan aged 76 and his wife Catherine 69 exemplify Irish-American spirit. Married in 1924 near Belfast they came separately to America, he as a chauffeur at St Coleman's then to Morris in 1966. They raised five children, have 12 grandchildren, and plan St Patrick's Day whiskey at home.

Dr Bernard Zawerski delivered Matthew Michael Jennifer and Kimberly born between 12:53 p.m. and 1:02 a.m. with weights between 2 pounds 8 and 2 pounds 13 ounces. First quadruplets at the hospital, all in good condition.

Man Held After Fire Destroys Cats in Morris
Police arrested a man at 11 45 a m after Morris Fire Department extinguished a garbage can fire at 744 Third Avenue. The can reportedly contained charred remains of two cats. Patrolman Dean Sager said the man is held in Grundy County Jail as charges are prepared.
